Riding up the side of Arthurs today, absolutely creeping. had to stop at top and have a moment reflecting on my life. But then killer downhill off the brakes and carving the corner on new 25mm gum walls. Maybe there is a God after all.
The only reason to climb, IMO
Family of Honeyeaters have established their nest in the eaves of my garage. Sweet pad, much better than precariously balancing some twigs in a tree. Watching mum and dad delivering food while the chicks chirp is quite therapeutic.
SJ: Got a 5 year visa and took less than an hour this morning in the immigration office.
I remember almost getting kicked out of Japan when I was on my working holiday Visa cos I didnât register at town Hall in time as an âalienâ
âYou didnât tell me toâ wasnât going to fly. Then just a circular argument - âI didnât register cos I didnât think I had toâ - âbut you havenât registered, why?!â.
Japanese bureaucracy didnât seem very flexible.
Eventually all was forgiven.
silly gaijin
Absolutely not. I get caught in this kind of loop with people I work with. Especially if I have no work. âWhy werent you helping so and so-san?â âThey didnât look busy and didnât askâ âWell, they are, you need to be a team player.â âNobody ever helps me when I am busy, because they know they canât do my job, so why would I bother someone else and ask them to train me up on their job to help them?â âYou should just do itâ and so on.
I recently ordered a substantial, but not eyebrow raising amount of hops. Its been stuck in customs because the distributor didnât put an invoice on the outside of the box. Mind you, they had to open the package to sample the goods anyway, and there was an invoice in there, but not good enough.
I had to call them, explain they were commercial samples and then fax them an invoice. Never had to do that for anything before, including other hop orders. (Mark this as a NSJ)
SJ: after years of wanting a doggie, we got a Bordoodle.
NSJ: Its not a Bordoodle.
It it a poollie?

Terrible news, very sorry to hear.
SJ finally got a seat at the local hairdresser. Havenât had my hair this long in almost thirty years.
Sorry about the dog. The unconditional love of a dog is pretty powerful emotional stuff.

But think how much stiffer your rear end could be!
