SJ: mates convinced me to try play padel with em, its pretty fun.
NSJ: scouring gumtree/FB for cheap padel rackets/shoes.
SJ: Realised i had a spare wheelset to rob the exact cassette ratio and rotors i was chasing.
NSJ: crashed the NFE on the way to work this morning. There was a fibre optic cable or similar across the road and it tangled in my front wheel and sent me down hard in an intersection. Plenty of grazes/bruises, nice bump on the head and Iāll need a new helmet.
SJ: couldāve been much worse, I basically shot into the next lane cos I couldnāt steer, couldāve been taken out by a car quite easily.
NSJ: ouch.

Howās the bumps and grazes going Jono?
Neck is still a bit sore from the whiplash. Head is still tender but only if I push on it really hard so I just donāt do that. Grazes on my arm are a horrible weepy mess which is annoying rather than painful.
You get checked out by a Dr?
Yeah, went to a Medicare urgent care place. Got checked by a doctor who spent more time telling me about his property portfolio than he did checking my symptoms. A truly bizarre experience.

Buy low sell high apparently. Also have a high income, preferably that of a doctor or higher. And still complain that interest rates mean that you worry about every cent. I told him to sell at least one of his properties and spend more time with his kids. I refrained from ranting about property hoarders ruining the housing market for everyone.

Been loving the Comm Games track cycling.
Good to see the tandems getting plenty of air time.
Amongst all the top shelf equipment I spotted a Sugino Zen chainring, Dura-Ace NJS hubs and a Welsh dude riding a BT Stealth.
Funny in the team events thereās often one rider who opts for their preferred bike over the standard team issue. I know those Hope bikes have been developed anround enhanced aerodynamics, but fuck me theyāre ugly.

Story time.
So i walk into Footlocker looking to pickup some runners for my boy, he recently received some vouchers for his birthday.
So i ask them for the shoe and size and wait for them to grab it.
Next minute, a random guy taps me on the shoulder asks if id like to partake in some trivia, put it up on some socials and potentially win a free pair of shoes.
Hell yeah.
So we go through some random WA based sports trivia, i get some right and some wrong, but BOOMā¦i get a free pair of shoes!
Sweet! Free pair of shoes for my boy.
At this moment Footlocker guy says they dont have the size for my boys shoe.
Trivia guy says dont worry mate, just choose whatever, pick the most expensive pair.
So i walk out with a $300 pair of Jordan 3s.
