Seeing as how I just finished the last season of the Shield (which if you’ve never seen is definately worth checking out) I figure it’s time to find another show to while away the rainy nights with until Summer hits. Was thinking either Deadwood or Game of Thrones.
Ever watched Firefly? Scifi witten by Joss Whedon so there’s a bit of humour going on. There was only ever one season before it was canned. Kicks ass though
Incredible show and a genuine shame it was never extended.
I tried getting into Rescue Me the Dennis Leary show and couldn’t, same thing for Weeds.
If you can find it there’s a one season UK show called Neverwhere that was written by Neil Gaiman (of the sandman comics fame). That takes place under the streets of London, a bit like when they find the troll markets in Hellboy 2. Definately worth a look.
I once saw a porno with a dude that looked just like Larry David and now have a real problem watching curb your enthusiasm. I can’t even watch him in the Seinfeld episode with the cape.
+1 on Party Down. Kristen Bell is awesome in it. Freaks and Geeks will forever hold a special place in my heart. Arrested Development and 30 Rock are great. Bob’s Burgers is pretty hilarious for animation… And I may have a soft spot for Veronica Mars. Undeclared is also pretty good.
Perefct timing this thread. Always on the lookout for tv series for the windtrainer.
West Wing was great, same with Firefly and Serenity.
Loved Arrested developement and re-watching Scrubs atm.
Thinking Deadwood as my next selection.
game of thrones
mediawatch
lucy, daughter of the devil
i’m working my way through a bunch of docos at the moment, too. the power of nightmares is great if you’re into hating neocons.
