Bob 82 just completed a 5300km ride with his grandson over 6 weeks raising money for MND Motor Neuron Disease with his grandson 18yr old Tom Malcolm when the day after the end of the ride and after he was celebrating the end of the ride with his wife, suffered a medical episode and crashed his car and died.

Wow what a life … to ride that distance at the age 82…what an effort!!

Agreed … but when my time comes I would much prefer to end that way than stuck in a Nursing Home. Bit of a shock for those left behind though.

Big ride, nearly 1,000km/week, well done Bob and with yr Grandson, memorable!

(unfortunate about the car crash, wife OK in Hosp and no others involved apparently)
