I couldn’t find any where that had the asics i wanted so i just bought locally from a running shop,
I’d rather him et it than some big chain store.
I got the asic’s tri 8’s and love them
I’m in the market for some new runners,as the ones I use for running in rant good at all! Will be looking at some asics or some saucony’s…
If you do know - make sure you only PM and don’t post online! Asics actively search message boards force shops into not shipping to Australia. My last purchase was from an US mob (who stopped shipping to Australia the week after I bought mine) where I got two pairs of older model Kayanos for ~AU$170 landed…
Sam try the running shop in Southbank about opp the railway station on the southern end they have heaps.
The massive hill next too All Hallows’ girls school. Used to run it but haven’t in ages.
Can’t ride up it and I feel sketchy riding down it without a break.
Dayne,active stride or 2XU ?
Cheers
i needed to start running to pass a beep test. running on roads does absolutely nothing for me, and i ended up just running practice beep tests on cricket pitches to get my fitness up. now i’m running local trails and am actually enjoying it, probably because of the variations and no one watches/judges me.
Tmasz - mind me asking what the beep test was for?
part of a fitness test for entry to the defence force.
Thought so,good on you mate.
Part of the reason I’ve started to get my fitness up was I have been thinking of joining the ADF too
Beep tests suck! Just putting it out there. We do them every few wks at training.
Also, active stride have moved down to west end now.
Putting this out there to the Brisbane folks. If anyone is interested in doing the oxfam trailwalker 100km event PM me. Someone in my team just pulled out and we need a 4th. The event starts on Friday the 14th of June and runs over the weekend. Our team is aiming to finish in around 20-22 hours.
I lost my favourite KOM on strava run today. I’m going to start some shit with that guy.
Since my strava post inspired so much interest, you will all be happy to know that I got that KOM back last night.
Tapering with some sharper runs now, its bloody great fun!
Also, compression, its not too bad over the long haul.
I actually got my first kom on the bike the other day
Nice! Bike KOMs are a much higher standard than the running ones, in Canberra at least. Well done.
Is there a Strava thread where we share usernames so we can follow eachother? maybe a fixed.org.au club that we could join?
edit: here! http://www.fixed.org.au/forums/f10/post-your-garmin-strava-etc-link-19764/
Woot! Got in the first wave at north face next weekend. Better chance of making all the cutoffs and not being dragged from there.
Anyone else doing it or going up to the blueys to check it out?
chums
what’s an ok running pace? i just ran a bit over 9k with a pace of 5:04/km without really pushing myself too hard.
i have no idea if that’s really slow, slow, average or whatever…
have you uploaded your run to strava and checked for KOMs?
show off
